FAQ Microneedling
Microneedling is done using small needles which penetrate the skin creating a controlled “micro-injury”. This stimulates the bodies healing response which stimulates collagen and elastin production.
Microneedling has a long list of benefits including:
Visibly reduces fine lines and wrinkles
Breaks down scar tissue (ex: acne scars)
Reduces hyperpigmentation
Shrinks pores
Helps product absorption (we use stem cells and hyaluronic acid while needling)
Tightens skin
Cost effective
Very little downtime
-
No. We use numbing creams prior to your treatment which ensures very little to no pain.
-
When you leave your appointment, your face will be quite pink/red (this is a good thing!). You may experience a mild “sun-burn” sensation and you should avoid direct sunlight for 48 hours and wear spf if going outside. Your skin may be slightly rosey/pink the following day, but you may resume wearing mineral makeup the day following your treatment. You may get some light peeling or flaking a few days after your procedure.
-
Many see improvement within a week, but you will notice the final result 4 weeks following the treatment and the results can continue improving the skin for up to 6 months!
-
We recommend one session every 6-8 weeks until you reach your skin goals (usually 3-4 sessions). Then come 1-4 times per year to maintain the antiaging effects.
